Year of the Snake Coin
The commemorative coin is dedicated to one of the twelve animals of the Eastern calendar. The Snake is the sixth sign of the Chinese zodiac, which symbolizes flexibility, intuition and calmness. It personifies deep knowledge, prudence, the ability to adapt and survive in any conditions.
The coin in the center of the composition depicts the symbol of the Eastern calendar 2025 - a mysterious snake, which additionally means danger to the enemy. The image is composed in a hexagon, which expresses dynamics and inner strength, and in combination with the aggressive image of the head - hostility and unpredictability for the attacker. The snake's tail is bizarrely twisted and resembles a saber, which symbolizes readiness to fight. The snake is surrounded by stylized symbols characteristic of each season: snowflakes (top right), flowers (bottom right), fruits (bottom left), branches (top left).
Vintage mechanism made in USSR in 1980s by Petrodvorets Watch Factory.
Mechanical watch not required battery , watch uses mechanical mechanism to measure the passage of time.
